Heritage Tree Program, 2021 –This is a new program being initiated by the Village to commemorate its 125th anniversary year.
The Village will soon send an email to all residents that will make it easy to participate in this initiative by encouraging all residents to plant trees.
The goal is to “restore the canopy of old growth trees we have lost…and to preserve the stability of our verdant community for the future.”
All residents, civic organizations, churches, schools, garden clubs, will be encouraged to partner in planting the 125 Heritage Trees in 2021.
The Village has provided some seed money, but everyone is asked to participate by planting trees to honor special occasions or special people, along parkways, in playgrounds, parks and on private property.
