The Kenilworth Home and Garden Club is comprised of a group of dynamic women who share similar values of giving back to the community through philanthropic endeavors and beautification of their surroundings.

Our mission is to promote interest in beautification and to stimulate knowledge and love of gardening amongst amateurs. We are also very involved in philanthropic projects, encourage civic planting and help in aiding the protection of native trees, plants and birds.

We offer a wide range of monthly programs from September through May.

"BACKYARD ENTOMOLOGY : The Importance of Diversification in our Gardens""

A healthy garden is more than just plants—it’s a living ecosystem filled with insects and other small creatures that play essential roles.

By increasing plant diversity in your garden, you can support beneficial insects, improve plant health, and create a more balanced environment.

Planting a variety of flowers, herbs, shrubs, and native plants attracts pollinators such as bees and butterflies, as well as helpful insects that control pests naturally.

Diverse gardens also provide food, shelter, and breeding spaces for many species, strengthening the local ecosystem.

Simple steps like adding native plants, avoiding excessive pesticide use, and including plants that bloom at different times of the year can greatly increase biodiversity.

When gardens support a wide range of insects and plants, they become more resilient, productive, and environmentally friendly.

By diversifying your garden, you help protect important insect populations while creating a vibrant, thriving outdoor space.
